Jubileumsbok ("the service", "we") is a web application at https://jubileumsbok-app.stenbaek.no for planning and collecting content for anniversary books and similar publications. The service is operated by Thor Stenbæk, who is the data controller for the personal data described below. Contact: .

What we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive the following from your Google account, and nothing else:

  • your name
  • your email address, and whether Google has verified it
  • a unique account identifier for your Google account

We request only the basic sign-in scopes openid, email and profile. We do not get access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar or any other Google data, and we never receive your Google password.

In addition, the service stores:

  • Membership information: which book projects you are a member of, and your role in them (for example contributor or editor). An editor or administrator of the book project registers this information.
  • Content you contribute: for example images, captions and other material you upload to a book project.
  • Technical logs: such as IP address, time and requested page. These are kept for a limited time for operation, troubleshooting and security.

How we use it

We use your information only to:

  • sign you in and keep you signed in
  • decide which book projects you can see, by matching your verified email address against the members of each project
  • show your name to you and to other members of the same book project
  • run, secure and troubleshoot the service

We do not use your information for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell it.

Google user data

Jubileumsbok's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information from your Google account is used only to provide sign-in and access control in this service. It is not transferred to others except as necessary to provide the service, comply with the law, or protect the service. It is not used to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models, and humans do not read it except for security purposes, to comply with the law, or with your consent.

Cookies

We use only cookies that are strictly necessary for signing in:

  • an encrypted session cookie, which expires after 8 hours
  • short-lived cookies that protect the sign-in process (CSRF protection and the page to return to after sign-in)

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

Where the data is stored

The service runs on Microsoft Azure in the Norway East region. Data is stored there and is not transferred outside the EEA by us. Google processes your sign-in under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

  • Your session: ends when you sign out, or after 8 hours at the latest.
  • Membership information and contributed content: kept for as long as the book project is active, or until you ask us to delete it.
  • Technical logs: deleted after a limited period.

Sharing

Your name, and the content you contribute, are visible to other members of the book projects you are part of. We do not share your personal data with anyone else, except with service providers that host the service (Microsoft Azure) or where required by law.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact . If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you may complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet), https://www.datatilsynet.no.
